The information herein provided refers exclusively to the official website of the ILSU Wps Editorial Board, available at www.ilsuwps.org, and not to any other website which users may eventually browse through hyperlinks, including those websites that may be accessed through the frame of the official website of the ILSU Wps Editorial Board.

The Treatment "Provider" and the "Person in Charge" of Such Treatment

Following the consultation of the present website, data relating to specific or identifiable persons may be subject to treatment.
The “Provider” of such treatment is the ILSU Wps Editorial Board. The "Person in Charge" of such treatment is the standing Editor-in-Chief, Luigi Russi (contact e-mail: lrussi@ilsuwps.org).

Place of Data Treatment

The treatment of data in connection with the web services of this website may be performed directly by the Provider’s organization at the former’s headquarters, or in any other place in the world where access to the relevant data may be possible for the Person in Charge, by use of ordinary telematic means.
No data received in connection with the web services of this website are communicated or spread to third parties, with the sole exception of email addresses of authors of published papers, and for the sole purpose of publication of their works on other digitized or computer-aided databases, such as SSRN (www.ssrn.com) or Bepress (www.bepress.com).

Types of Data and Goals of Their Treatment

1) Browsing Data
IT systems and software procedures enabling the functioning of this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
All and any data are, however, not gathered in order to be associated with specific users, although – for their very nature – such data may, through elaborations and associations with data held by third parties, allow user identification.
This type of data includes: IP addresses or domain names of computers through which users may connect to websites, Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) addresses for the requested resources, the time of such requests, the method used in addressing the request to the server, the dimension of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the state of the server’s response (success, failure, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the IT environment of the user.
These data are used for the sole purpose of deriving anonymous statistical information on the usage of the website and to monitor its correct functioning, and are deleted immediately after their elaboration. The data may be used for the ascertainment of responsibility in the case of supposed IT crime against websites. Aside from this case, however, the data of web contacts are not presently kept for longer than 10 days.

2) Data Provided Spontaneously by Users
The free, spontaneous and explicit submission of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this website enables the ensuing acquisition of the sender’s address – a necessary step in order to answer the latter’s requests - along with any other personal data contained in the e-mail. At any rate, data treatment will take place only with respect to ordinary data, excluding sensitive (Sect. 4, para. 1, lett. d of the Italian Code on the Protection of Personal Data) and judicial (Sect. 4, para. 1, lett. e of the Italian Code on the Protection of Personal Data) ones.
Gathered personal data shall, at any rate, be treated exclusively in pursuit of the ILSU Wps Editorial Board’s editorial activity, and in compliance with the license agreement binding the ILSU Wps Editorial Board with authors of accepted works.
Any data treatment shall only take place with respect to ordinary data: the presence of any other types of data, such as sensitive or judicial ones, will import the immediate destruction of the related message.

Cookies

No personal data of the users are acquired through this means by the website.
Cookies are not used for the transmission of personal data, and persistent cookies of any kind or other systems for the tracing of data are also not used with respect to non-registered users of the website (i.e. the totality of users, since user registration is forbiddenblocked in the ILSU Wps Editorial Board website).
The use of session cookies (which are not permanently memorized on the user’s computer and are deleted upon shutting down the browser) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identification data (consisting of casual numbers generated by the server), which are necessary in order to allow the efficient and secure consultation of the website.
The so-called session cookies used in this website allow to avoid resorting to other IT techniques that may be potentially more harmful for the privacy of the users’ browsing experience and also prevent the acquisition of the users’ personal data.

Spontaneity of Data Transmission

Besides what specified for navigation data, users are free to transmit any personal data required in possible request forms or however in any contact forms for soliciting the transmission of informative material or of other communications.
Failure to transmit such data may however result in the impossibility to fulfill the users’ requests.

Data Treatment Methods

Data treatment shall take place in compliance with the dictum of Sect. 11 of the Code on the Protection of Personal Data and shall be performed either manually or with the help of IT and telematic means. Data may further be included in paper or electronic archives in order to allow, where necessary, their identification and their aggregate selection for a time not exceeding what required by the treatment.
At any rate, data treatment shall take place according to procedures strictly related to the goals herein mentioned and that may guarantee the security and privacy of the data itself, through the adoption of the minimum required security measures to prevent alteration, deletion, destruction, unauthorized access, forbidden treatment or treatment exceeding the goals herein mentioned, in conformity with the provisions of the Code on the Protection of Personal data and the related technical attachment (Annex B).
The possible transmission - on the part of users - of personal data through e-mail does not guarantee security standards such as to allow a correct acquisition of the personal data so transmitted. Therefore the user will have to verify the correctness of their personal data and, should that be the case, proceed to the rectification, updating or however modification of the data in the course of treatment. Users will also have to adopt any necessary measure in order to prevent any danger of captation, loss, alteration or destruction of email messages.

Rights of the Concerned People

The people whom any personal data refer to have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence of such data and to know their content and origin, to verify their correctness or request their integration or updating, or their rectification (Sect. 7 of the Code on the Protection of Personal Data).
Pursuant to the same provision, the aforementioned subjects also have the right to request cancellation, transformation in anonymous form or blocking of the data treated in violation of the relevant legal provisions and - at any rate - to object for legitimate reasons to their treatment.
Requests may be filed to the Person in Charge at his/her institutional e-mail address (lrussi@ilsuwps.org).
